Responsibilities: Active participant in all aspects of faculty life at the community college, including teaching multiple courses each semester in studio art and art appreciation. I assisted with student advising, transfer assistance, continuing education programs, community service activities, professional development
opportunities, and instructional services. I led the Cultural Arts Festival as chair, co-chair or programming-provider over the last 5 years and created numerous
exhibitions, displays, events and art sales for the Downtown campus. I also sponsored the Art Club, and I make a mean bulletin board.

Visiting Artist with Jefferson County Public Schools
- 2016 - I met with all 2nd and 3rd grade classes at Hawthorne Elementary over the course of 2 weeks. I designed a hands-on biodiversity project based on
- 2014 -Kickstarter Campaign to raise funds for collaborative learning murals with Hawthorne Elementary School. Students and I created a large East meets West learning mural and I designed a teacher’s resource guide to assist in the mural’s interpretation.
- 2012-13 - I ran the Field Elementary after school art and mural club. Working with over100 students during the school year, we did a wide array of multi-media projects and created an art history mash-up mural in the cafeteria.
- 2012-2013 -Planned and Implemented an afterschool art club that culminated in a large Art-Historical Mash-Up mural in the cafeteria.
Studio-Building Initiatives
- 2013 - Ran a successful Power2Give Fund campaign to purchase a Printing Press and created a printmaking studio for JCTC’s first ever Printmaking Class!
- 2012 Ran a successful Power2Give Fund campaign to overhaul and expand the JCTC ceramics studio. Funds raised purchased a new kiln, slab roller, extruder, 5 wheels, glaze mixing tools and expendables.
