I approach the topic of three-dimensional space as one would a physical science class. Sculpture can be intimidating for students new to the study of art and encouraging material experimentation and serendipity helps everyone to have a positive experience. Each project introduces a new sculptural material and/or construction technique in conjunction with a predetermined set of design goals and conceptual content.
